SRT's mission is to bring a successful conclusion to high risk situations through the use of specially equipped and highly trained personnel without injury or loss of life to citizens, suspects, or police officers.
The 10 officers must meet rigorous standards, including conditioning, training, and significant knowledge and experience with weapons and tactics. They must also pass a psychological evaluation and physical agility/ endurance tests similar to U.S. military standards. Regular monthly training helps keep their skills and conditioning ready to meet all challenges.
