Ypsilanti city police continued their crackdown on curfew violators, citing 11 juveniles aged 10 to 16 years old. In addition, 10 parents were then cited under the city ordinance that requires parents or guardians to administer proper control of a juvenile, said Sgt. Stan Eldridge.

A special police detail went out late at night this week to enforce the city's curfew, which states that people younger than 17 are not allowed to be outside from 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

One of the juveniles also was cited for possesssion of fireworks and tobacco, Eldridge said.

This was the second special detail to look for curfew violators in the past several weeks, he said.
